BOWMORE 40 YEAR OLD RARE LIMITED EDITION 1OZ

2021 release of Bowmore 40, limited to just 161 bottles. This bourbon and sherry cask aged single malt has a long, elegant finish clubbed with beautiful dried fruit notes. NOSE: Dates, ripe mango, dark chocolate and caramel. PALATE: Dark chocolate, dried tobacco, praline and roasted chestnuts combine with subtle Islay peat smoke. BOWMORE 50 YEAR OLD 1969 VAULT COLLECTION 1OZ

Distilled by Bowmore in 1969 and matured for 50 years in both American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 46.9% ABV. This is one of only 339 bottles ever released. NOSE: Freesia, dried geranium, and lilies of the valley merge with the aromas of Chablis, citrus fruits, and gooseberries, followed by seeter notes of acacia honey, apple pie, vanilla pods, and cream. PALATE: Initially dry and floral with notes of carnations, developing into sweeter notes of lemon meringue, grilled almonds, and light crème caramel fudge, with a hint of white pepper, nutmeg oak spices, and light coconut. FINISH: Lightly sweet and warm with subtle floral notes and malty flavours.

This exceptionally rare Bowmore is a true masterpiece of balance; showcasing the masterful skill and commitment to considered cask maturation and management at Bowmore Distillery. A time machine, half Bowmore, half Aston Martin, travelling in two directions at the same time. The spirit pushes the limits of maturation whilst the decanter showcases cutting edge design and technology. A symbol of a shared journey to reveal the depths of beauty and design, exploring the unknown. NOSE: Creamy and fruity with notes of vanilla and custard cream but also peach, pear, kumquat, mandarin, a hint of guava with herbal notes of fresh mint and eucalyptus. PALATE: Sweet, fruity and citric with flavour of green grapes and peach melba, clementine, lime zest but also nutty notes of almond and hazelnuts, tobacco leaves with a lightly peaty ashy and buttery character. FINISH: Herbal and medicinal with exotic fruits, praline and butterscotch note.

GLENFARCLAS 50 YEAR LIMITED RELEASE 1OZ

This 50-Year-Old Speyside whisky was launched to celebrate chairman John Grant’s five decades in the industry. Copper in color and bottled at 50% ABV, the whisky was laid down during the tenure of John’s father, George Grant and is limited to just 836 bottles. NOSE: Marzipan, almond, and cedar wood with a sweet and smoky hint giving way to stewed apples and dark chocolate. PALATE: Great creamy texture. Subtle notes of mocha and treacle toffee accompanied by tingly tannins, lemon peel, passion fruit and bran. FINISH: Gentle and smooth notes of coffee, chocolate and ripe bananas with a touch of tobacco.

It is a celebration of the rich range of reds present naturally in The Macallan—in every step of the process. The distinctive red colour weaves its way through their history, starting with the name of the founder Alexander Reid—literally “The Red”, to The Macallan’s ‘Choice Old’ range released over a century ago in 1903, through to Allan Shiach marking vintage bottles of The Macallan with a red ribbon in the 1980s. NOSE: A fresh fruit medley of apple, peach and grape moving into fresh lime and verbena. Antique oak and soft leather move quickly into a luxurious dark chocolate and dried fruit- dates and raisins sensation. Finally, a rich inviting vanilla cake. PALATE: Warming oak spice of nutmeg and ginger, dried fruits of raisin, prune, date and a hint of almond nuttiness. FINISH: A long thought provoking finish, reflection of the nose of the whisky

The singular whisky that represents some of the oldest casks and a once-in-a-decade release. The historic cask was filled in the Winter of 1972, on the 25th of February, before it was carefully rolled into the distillery’s traditional Dunnage warehouses where it lay peacefully maturing for over five decades.
